Father’s Day Celebrations
We’re excited to celebrate Father’s Day with two wonderful events at Redlynch State College — our annual Father’s Day Stall and Breakfast!
Father’s Day Stall – Wednesday 3rd September
Students will have the opportunity to purchase a special gift for Dad or someone special, with items available for $5 or $10. Flexi Schools orders will open on Wednesday 20th August and will close at midday on Tuesday 2nd September. Cash purchases will also be accepted at the stall on the day.
We’re currently seeking volunteers to assist at the stall from 8:30am. If you’re able to help, please get in touch with Megan in the shop or email shop@rscpandc.com.au.
Father’s Day Breakfast – Thursday 4th September
Join us for our much-loved Father’s Day Breakfast on Thursday 4th September from 7:30am, held outside the Tuckshop on the Primary Campus. All parents and carers are welcome to attend – we’d love to see you there as we celebrate the amazing fathers and father figures in our community!
Grandparents Day
Our much-loved Grandparents Day is coming up on Friday 12 September Primary Campus, and we would love your help to make it a special event for our school community.
We’re seeking volunteers to assist with:
Set up from 8:00am – arranging tables and chairs, setting up decorations, and preparing tea and coffee.
The event from 9:00am–11:00am – cutting and serving cake, helping with tea and coffee service, and supporting the smooth running of the morning.
If you’re available to lend a hand, please let us know by emailing office@rscpandc.com.au, and include what time(s) you’re available to help.
Your support makes all the difference, and we truly appreciate your time and generosity.
OSHC - Serbian Paper Weaving
Last Monday was “Map Monday” and we focused on Serbia at the request of one of our students. We tried out Serbian paper weaving "Cilimi" which was hard and took a lot of patience!
This activity is great for children's fine motor skills and coordination, builds focus and problem-solving skills. It's also excellent for children’s cultural appreciation, helping children appreciate cultural diversity building the foundation for harmony, and helps with social well-being and inclusion.
