International Student News
Education Queensland International
At the start of Term 3 we welcomed 15 new Education Queensland International students from Germany, Brazil and Belgium.
Our International Students are accommodated in homestay with wonderful local families, and are here to improve their English on a Study 500 visa.
The International Students have completed orientation, participated in social cooking lessons, and have even been snorkelling to the Great Barrier Reef. International Students are here for 2 Semester, please make them feel welcome, & make time to meet them & share cultures.
In week 2, we also had our annual Education Queensland International Study Tour from Otakanomori Japan visiting Redlynch for 12 days, and attending our school. Students have been staying with our wonderful local families, enjoying some local culture. Students enjoyed joining in buddy classes, a nature walk at Goomboora, an Indigenous weaving session with Mr Peckham, Amazing Race, & lunches with their buddies.
Thank you to the buddies who shared new friendships with the students and looked after our visitors. Thank you to our EQI International Students from Parana, Brazil who assisted with the catering for the events, and a very big thank you to the many families who have supported our International Students by providing homestay. We greatly appreciate and value your kindness as this benefits our whole school community.
